The Story behind the Company

SkyLark began with a heart for those we considered our own.
In the year 2005, when Joseph our Managing Director became available to work independently,
An idea was floated to create an institution focused on production where we would be able to engage the young boys and girls who were mainly the unemployed children of our Staff members from other business ventures, to produce a product with a view to trade in the market.

The idea was to buy, blend, pack and market good quality Kenyan tea.
The company Started off with tea production and later incorporated the distribution of pens.

We are continuing to grow, bringing in new minds and new idea to bring our mission and vision to fulfillment.

The Story of our Products

To begin with, we picked tea to be our product to trade in the local market.
Kenya produced and still produces variety of teas that are of very high quality.
Some of the brand were better than those produced by India, China and Sri Lanka.

Kenyans drank tea regularly and they are known for their love for drinking tea.
We knew demand for Tea would increase in commensuration with the growth of, therefore introduction of a new tea brand in the middle of very many well-established tea brands in the market would do good.

We envisaged new brand would perform well in terms of change of tastes for the tea-lovers and commercial success.

Then during 2017 when we could manage to establish 'SkyTea' as a brand name, secured enlistment as a regular supplier of tea to various 'A' grade and other supermarkets,
We thought about diversification.

Balaji Pens & Sonali Pens are the High Quality ink pens we offer that are great for writing anywhere from classroom to office spaces and private use.

With the help of one of our shareholders we started importing 'Balaji' ball pen to trade through the same supermarkets.
